Horace Douglas Boyd, 59 of Charlotte, passed away on July 25, 2019 at Levine & Dickson-Aldersgate. He was born July 13, 1960 in Gaston County, son of Fannie Mae Tate and John Boyd.
Horace was educated through the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System including West Mecklenburg High School. He was manifested through his hard working and family oriented spirit. A true "jack of all trades," Horace took great pride in his work ethic. He served more than fifteen years at City Chevrolet of Charlotte, while exhibiting his passion for lawn care, building maintenance and much more. Horace was an extraordinary man of God, who genuinely loved his family, giving his all to ensure their well being and security. He was infamous for his storytelling, comedy and unmatched dancing and singing.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, parents, his brother, James K. Boyd, and step-son, Carlos M. Frazier.
His love, memories and presence will be forever remembered through his wife of 23 years, Mickie Frazier-Boyd; three daughters, Andrea M. Roberts (Andre), Felicia C. Frazier, and Latrina R. Anthony (Derrick); one son, Kendall M. Hope; one step-son, Jacob R. Frazier, eight grandchildren; four sisters, Anita Gaston (Michael), Sandra Boyd-Weathers (Johnny), Denise Foxx and Myra Boyd; two brothers, John Boyd and Dennis Boyd; nephews and nieces, along with a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
