Horace Lee Matthew, age 78 departed this life on April 22, 2020. He was born in Elberton Ga to Eva M McCollough.

He attended school in Elberton, Ga. As a Young man he moved to Charlotte NC for job opportunities and to be near other family members,
throughout his adult life he exhibited a strong work ethic. For many years he worked three jobs at one time. He worked his full-time job during the week, a part time job in the evenings and a part time job on the weekends.

He is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy L. Matthew, mother Eva McCollough, brother Wille David Matthew, and sister in law Mary Matthew.

Horace leaves to cherish his memories his children Tracey M Matthew, Ayana Wilson, Dorothy Rucker-Warlick, (Charles) and Robert T Rucker, five Grandchildren including special grandson Marquez Matthew whom his affectionately called "Buck", four Great-grandchildren, brother George Matthew, sister in-law Lilly Matthew, brother in law Willie Earl Anderson, sister in-laws LuNell Stewart and Evelyn Anderson, special nieces Debra Wilson "Sis" and Michelle Lee "Shell" and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

At such a time the love and support of family and friends is invaluable. We have been truly blessed by God to have so many who unselfishly have shown immeasurable Kindness to us during this difficult time. We Sincerely appreciate each act and expression of sympathy.
