Howard L. Allen, 65 of Charlotte, passed away on July 30, 2019 at Levine & Dickson, Huntersville. He was born to the late Minnie Lee Allen Jefferson and Mr. Hazel Jefferson on April 12, 1954.

Howard Lewis Allen also known to many as "Al", "Wood", and "New York" names in which he answered to with dignity and charisma.  Howard attended school in Brooklyn, New York.  After graduating from Erasimus High School he furthered his education by obtaining various certifications to enhance his career.

On June 17, 2005 "Al" was united in Holy Matrimony to his wife whom he referred to as his "baby", Ms. Shelia and they were blessed to unite families' eight children strong.

Howard was preceded in death by his dearly beloved mother, Minnie L. Jefferson during the earlier part of 2019.

Howard Lewis Allen "Al" leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife, Shelia Allen; siblings, Darnell (Carrie), Jefferson, Kenneth (Sharon) Jefferson, Janice Wells; children, Troy Rivers, Rico Boyd (LaSherica); Tyrice Boyd Sr. (Antavia) Michael Boyd all of Charlotte, NC, LaTonya Powell of Washington, DC, Myesha Singleton of Atlanta, Ga, Charmain Allen, Chante Allen of Charlotte, NC, fourteen grandchildren, a host of cherished family, Mr. Charles Williams, Annie and Joe along with a strong network of friends.
