Obituary

Ms. Ida Mae Hogue, 85 of Charlotte, transitioned on Friday, December 11, 2020 at Charlotte Health & Rehabilitation. God heard her cry and called her home. She was born September 10, 1935 in Robeson County to the late FloroJane and Earnest Manning, where she grew up and attended school.

A loving mother of eleven, Charles Jones, Isaac Strong, Tommie Frank Jones, Carolyn Teresa Jones, Robert Hogue, James Hogue Jr., Ronald Hogue, Barbara Ann Hogue, Patricia Hogue, Linda Hogue and one surviving son Darryl Jones McIntyre of Charlotte, NC.  Ida moved to New York at an early age.  Ida found her true love, the one she prayed for and married the late James Hogue from New York.  She later moved to Charlotte, North Carolina and joined the New Life Fellowship Church and fell in love with her pastor, Rev. John P. Kee and the church family of partakers.  She was call the Mother of New Life.  She was a prayer warrior and would pray with you any time and anywhere.  She loved the Lord and her family.  She was truly blessed with lots of love and support from her New Life Family.

She met and touched many friends.  She had a heart of helping anybody that needed help.  She loved being the boss, telling people what to do.  Ida loved dressing up with her big hats.  Some called her a 'DIVA" and that she was.

She leaves to cherish her memories her only son; Darryl Jones McIntyre (Shantell), Her siblings; (Sisters) Lucinda Briggs, Rosetta Barnes, Katie Moore, Leester Thomas, Doris Greene, Louise McCormick, Sarah McCormick, (Brothers) Leroy McIntyre, Herman McIntyre, Leo McIntyre, Johnnie Manning, Thomas (Sam) Manning, John Davis, (Sister-in-Laws) Maxcine McIntyre, Earlie McIntyre and her bonus daughter, Angela Rogers.

She was preceded in death by (her children) Carolyn Teresa Jones, Frank Jones, Charles Jones, Isaac Strong, Robert, Ronald, James Jr., Linda, BarbraAnn, and Patricia.  Her Siblings; Tommy J. Flemming, Lendo Bethea, Arlitha Davis, Sophronia Williams, Charlie McIntyre, Willie McIntyre, James McIntyre, Maggie Brandon, Margaret Miles, Earnest (Pete) Manning and Lenwood Manning.

Grandchildren of the late Ms. Ida Hogue include, Lisa Jones, Ed Jones, Teresa Strong, Tamika Devonport, James Cashaw, Latisha Jones, Darryl Joe Jones, Rakim Rogers, Tarran Rogers, AJ Jackson, Shantees Jones, Darryl McIntyre II (Chelsea), Chantise Hogue, Patrice Hogue, Tiffany Hogue, Candy Hogue, Shatiah Hogue, Christa Hogue and one deceased grandchild Derrick Hogue.  A host of great grand's, great great grand's, nieces/nephews, cousins, uncles/aunts and many friends & church members that loved her dearly. She will greatly missed but never forgotten.
