Inez Kiser Laney, 89 of Charlotte, passed away on Thursday November 28, 2019 at her residence. She was born on October 18, 1930 to the late Smith and Addie Lue Jenkins Kizer, in Bamberg, South Carolina.

In her early years, Inez worked as a domestic worker in private homes.  She loved to cook and spend time with her family and friends.  Inez took great pride in her her fashion sense and when she "stepped out," she blossomed like a rose.  Inez was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Charlotte.  Her favorite song was "Lord, I Want You to Help Me."

Inez was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Laney; son, Jimmy Laney; grandson, Michael D. Laney and sister-in-law, Delois Kizer.

She leave to cherish her memories one son, Jack Kizer; five daughters, Gloria Alexander (James), JoAnn Laney, Ernestine Laney, Linda Laney and Eloise Covington (Ralph), all of Charlotte, NC; one sister, Ernestine Kizer Stinson of Charlotte; two brothers, James Kizer of Toledo, Ohio and Nathaniel Kizer (Barbara) of Charlotte; twelve grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
