Mr. Jack Lyles, 68, of Goldsboro, NC, departed this life on Friday, April 11, 2025, at UNC Health Wayne Memorial Hospital.
John 14:1 -3
Let not your heart be troubled ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions, if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you into myself, that where I am, there ye may be also.
Jack S. Lyles went to be with our Heavenly Father after living for 68 years. Jack, better known as Lerry, was born on December 15, 1956, in Natchez, Mississippi, to the late Ruth Johnson Williams and the late Jack Lyles, Jr.
Jack S. Lyles received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He lived a life of kindness and generosity. With his good sense of humor, he had the ability to bring laughter to any situation. He was very quiet, spirited, and easy to get along with.
Jack S. Lyles leaves behind a brother, Vincent Johnson of Tunica, LA; sister, Margie D. Finley of Charlotte, NC; niece, Litrice Williams of Ferriday, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to his father, Jack Lyles, Jr., and mother, Ruth Johnson Williams, Jack was preceded in death by his brother, Earl Lyles, step-father, Willie Williams, and wife, Patricia Singleton Lyles.
Jack S. Lyles will be deeply missed, but forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
