Ms. Jacqueline Denise Brown, 57 of Charlotte, passed away on Friday May 8, 2020 at Atrium Health-Mercy. She was born May 27, 1962 to the late Lonnie Brown Sr. and Betty L. Brown in Charlotte, NC.
Jacqueline, affectionately known as "Big Red," had the most infectious smile. Anyone she met saw that smile. You knew you had a friend for life. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved to dance and sing. Myrtle Beach was her favorite vacation destination. Big Red was well known in her community, Dalton Village, where she was given the name 'Mayor of Dalton Village.' She had many friends who adored her, so this is a great loss for the city of Charlotte.
Big Red attended Mission Church of the Lord Jesus Christ under Chief Apostle Bishop Aaron Raley and Leading Lady Mary Raley. She was very much loved at Mission Church. Jackie Brown will be missed but she will always be in our hearts.
She is preceded in death by her father, Lonnie Brown Sr.; sons Travis and Aaron Brown; and her brother Alexander Lowery.
She leaves to cherish her memories her daughters, Shanta Brown and Laudricka Perry; grandchildren, Aariona, Anthony, Miguel, Mantic, Nijal, Kayden, and Erin; one great-grandchild, Kylan; sisters, Brenda Blackmon (Richard), Lonnie Mae Wilkerson (Ronald), Beverly Pauling, of Charlotte, and Doncella Rice (Ralph) of S.C.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
We love you Mama, to the moon and back.
