Jacqueline grew up in Durham County, where she received her early education in the Durham Public School System. While there, she was initiated into the Alpha Mu Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, on November 12, 1971. After four years of academic and social growth, Jacqueline earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 1973. Her passion for learning continued as she later obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

On July 7, 1979, Jacqueline was united in holy matrimony to Gregory Anderson Glenn, Sr., and together they built a beautiful life in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Jacqueline dedicated her life and career in nursing to caring for others. She began with the Durham County Health Department and later served as the Director of Nursing with the Mecklenburg County Health Department. Through her compassion, excellence, and leadership, she made a lasting impact on countless families, patients, and colleagues before retiring in 2019.

She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband of 46 years, Gregory Anderson Glenn, Sr.; two loving daughters, Gineen Anisse Glenn of Cary, North Carolina, and Gabrielle Glenn Gilmore (Stephon) of Frisco, Texas; one beloved son, Gregory Anderson Glenn, Jr. of Matthews, North Carolina; and six adoring grandchildren: John Christian Cargo IV, Gavin Cargo, and Giavanna Cargo of Cary, North Carolina, and Stephon Gilmore Jr., Gisele Gilmore, and Gael Gilmore of Frisco, Texas.
