James Edward Branch, Jr., 61, was born July 5, 1964, in Charlotte, North Carolina and departed this journey of life on Monday, April 6, 2026.  As a child, James accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Personal Savior. Along with his family, he attended St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church.

James was educated at Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools and graduated from West Charlotte High School. Subsequently, after graduation, he answered the call to serve this country joining the United States Army. James’ journey in service began much earlier as a youth at Harris Teeter stores where he exemplified the same helpful, energetic spirit that he demonstrated as a man. After military service, James started his professional career with the Federal Reserve as a professional currency operator which gave him a strong background in financial security and precision. He worked at Wachovia Bank where he became knowledgeable in the company mailing and internal documents distribution system.

He was a dedicated worker for Service Rental and Advance Auto for many years where he was well-regarded by his colleagues and respected for his hard work and expertise. He was the epitome of HARD work!!

James was a devoted son who treasured time together and companionship with caring for his mother. He was a loving husband to his wife Robin and caring father to his son, William. James was preceded in death by his father, James Edward Branch, Sr.; and Uncle, Mark Yancy.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Robin R. Branch; son, William E. Jackson; mother, Dorothy H. Branch; sister, Anita D. Baker; brother-in-law, Anthony B.
