Mr. James Edward Calhoun, 71 of Charlotte, was called home to be with his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at his residence.

He was born December 24, 1948 in Charlotte, NC to the late Jennie Mae Calhoun and Robert George Calhoun.

He graduated from West Charlotte Senior High and served in the United States Army.  He was employed at General Tire Company for over 30 years and also Cardinal Health Service.  He was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.  James loved the Lord with all his heart.

He was a caring, kind-hearted, helpful and knowledgeable person.  He really loved his cars and trucks and I mean really.

James leaves behind Rita Calhoun; two daughters, Donna Calhoun and Tracy Calhoun; two granddaughters, Sophia Pegues and Sierra Coxton; four sisters, Mamie Bennett, Sarah Mason, Dorinda Calhoun and Gloria Alexander; one brother, Larry Calhoun; all of Charlotte, NC and a host of relatives and friends.
