Mr. James (Jimmy) Cooper Greene, of Charlotte, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at Wilora Lake Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.  He was born in Durham, NC on September 12, 1952.  His father, Thomas Harral Greene, Sr. was a well-known contractor in Durham.  His mother Nannie Cooper Greene was a schoolteacher at Burton School for 32 years.

James was the middle child of three children.  The remaining siblings are Thomas Harral Greene Jr (Rose) and Michael Greene.  He leaves behind his two sons Marcus and Micheal Greene and his second wife and daughter, Laura Mackins and Jalura Greene.  James Greene lived in Charlotte NC most of his adult life after graduating from North Carolina Central.

He was ambitious and always started his own business, from insurance to selling cars to HVAC contracting from which he later retired.  He will truly be missed by his friends and family.
