Deacon James William Jordan, 88, of Monroe passed on Tuesday June 23,2015 at his residence. Funeral service will be Saturday June 27, 2015, 2:00 PM at Flag Branch Missionary Baptist Church in Monroe. Public Visitation will begin at 11:00 am at the church, and the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place Monday 11:00 am in the VA National Cemetery Salisbury, NC with Military Honors. Mr. Jordan is survived by his wife, Mrs. Pauline Jordan of the home; son, Councilman Billy A. Jordan; four daughters, Marie Vinson, Cynthia Belton (Lee), Annie Jordan, and Marilyn M. Coxx(Frank); two brothers, Heath Jordan and Excell Jordan (Margaret); three sisters, Mazell Miller, Betty Lue Robinson and Violet Stinson (Robert).
