Obituary

Mr. James Edward Pagan, 74 of Charlotte, passed away on Sunday April 7, 2019 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.  He was born on June 28, 1944.  He was the son of the late Edward Neal and Beatrice Pagan.  He was born in Mecklenburg County.

Mr. Pagan was educated in Pineville School System in his later years; however, he attended the Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools in earlier years.  He lived with his mother, Beatrice, in the Historical Biddle Heights Area during that time.  Later in life, he worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken.  He was a cook.  He was loved by everyone who met him.  He also loved farming with his Grandparents.  He lived with his grandparents for several years.  He always enjoyed their company and learned so much from them.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Neal and Beatrice Pagan, his older brother, Calvin Pagan and his sister, Martha Bell.

Left to celebrate his life and cherish his legacy are 3 brothers, Samuel W. Grier, Ray Grier and Jerome Grier; Sisters, Thomasina (William) Horne, Vivian Chambers, Juanita (Lewis) Cunningham, Vickie Grier, and Karen Grier; all of Charlotte, N.C. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
