James O'Neal Weathers, Sr., departed this life on Friday, December 23, 2022 at his residence. "Henry", as he was affectionately called, was born October 3, 1940 in Charlotte, North Carolina to the late Eddie Weathers and Louise Weathers. Henry was preceded in death by his five siblings, Evenlyn, Pauline, John, Glen and Ella.

Henry graduated from Sterling High School in 1957. He enlisted in the military in 1967 where he became Sgt. Weathers. Henry received an honorable discharge on September 12, 1972. He then worked as a truck driver for Atrium Health for over 18 years, then later retired.

Henry accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at an early age at the family church, McClintock Presbyterian Church.

Henry leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife, Hazeline Weathers; one son, James O. Weathers, Jr. (Amy) and one daughter, Faith Weathers; three grandchildren, Tito Locket, Jr., Tevin Locket, and Janae Weathers; one great-grandchild, Jhanye Holt, all of Charlotte, NC; stepchildren, Tony Williams and Tracy Williams-Caldwell; two step-grandsons, Antonio Howie and Tomorris Caldwell, all of Charlotte; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
