On Sunday, February 4, 2024, Mr. James Charles "JC" Williams Sr. peacefully passed away in Charlotte, North Carolina, marking the end of a life well-lived. Born in Chester, SC on May 24, 1941, to the late Samuel Williams and Minnie Hemphill Williams. JC was a member of Rock Hill Unity Church of Christ. JC left an enduring impact during his time on this earth. A natural leader who marched to the beat of his own drum, JC possessed a heart of pure gold and welcomed everyone he encountered with open arms. His boundless love was evidenced by his countless acts of kindness, extending help to all in need until his final moments.

JC was preceded in death by his beloved parents, his cherished wife Mrs. Constance Thompson, his son Larry, one great grandson, Zuinquarius D. McCrorey, and siblings: W.B. Hemphill, Joseph Williams, Odell Williams, Henry Williams, and Bonnie Mae Stewart. Renowned throughout Charlotte for his tenure as a taxi driver with Charlotte Checker Taxi Services, JC's jovial nature and infectious smile brightened the lives of all who knew him. He was a devoted family man, known for his unwavering support and hospitality. To JC, friends were family, and family was everything.

Survived by his two sons, Emmanuel Baker and James Charles Williams Jr. (Kendra), and six daughters, Barbara Pendergrass (George), Janet McCrorey, Pauline Caldwell (Michael), Stacey Toney (Anna), Tosha Toney, and Melissa Williams (Germaine), along with his sister Minnie Lee Williams, JC leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. His memory will be cherished by his 24 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, wife Judy Williams who remained a lifetime companion, longtime friends Chief Apostle Bishop CL Lancaster and First Lady Constance Lancaster, longtime friends Frank and Lisa Hinson, longtime friends Alex Dunlap and Edwin "Eddie" Franklin.

The legacy of James Charles "JC" Williams Sr. will forever resonate in the hearts of his loved ones, a testament to a life richly lived and deeply loved.
