Mr. Jamie Vashon Guy, 47 of Charlotte, departed this life on November 12, 2020 at Atrium Health.  He was born on October 30, 1973 in Charlotte, North Carolina to Elvira B. Guy and the late Billy James Guy.

Jamie grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina.  He attended Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools.  He was employed with Allenbrook Elementary School, Smart Kids CDC, and Habitat for Humanity of Charlotte.

Jamie attended Prince of Peace Lutheran Church at a very young age and also attended Community Outreach Christian Ministries.  He visited many churches in the Charlotte area in his later years.

Jamie was known to family and friends to have a kind spirit and be available to help others when needed.  He was also known to be a hard worker.

Jamie was best known as someone who could talk and carry on a conversation with anyone.  He had a memory like no other and could easily tell you anything you needed to know about someone or something.

He truly loved his girls and tried to be the best father possible even while suffering with his illness.

Mr. Jamie V. Guy leaves to mourn and cherish his memory his daughters whom he loved dearly; Jasmine McInnis, Deajha Phifer, Janiya O'Leary-Guy, and Ja'Bre'a O' Leary-Guy, and a stepdaughter, Natalie Banner; his grandchildren, Rudy Tuiz, Ruby Ruiz, and Carter Banner; his beloved mother, Elvira B. Guy; two brothers, Jonathan Bankhead (Brooke) and Derrick Massey (Melissa Kirkpatrick) and one sister, Mary Alice Black.  He also leaves to mourn his significant other, LaDonnielle O'Leary of the home, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
