Jane Marie Sinclair Simmons was born April 18, 1957 in Charlotte, North Carolina to the late Ray and Margaret Sinclair. Jane departed this world on Saturday, November 5, 2022. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Ashley N. Simmons; sister Judy L. Sinclair; and brother, Ray Avery Sinclair.

Jane was a graduate of West Charlotte Senior High School. She was passionate in life about many things including reading, trips to the beach and Charleston, investing and collecting black art, cooking and sewing, to name a few. Her biggest joys in life was that of her family, Henry, Sheena, and especially Noah. Noah affectionately named her "Gee Gee" and the bond they shared was magical and so very special to me.

Left to cherish her precious memories are her devoted husband, Henry B. Simmons, of the home, daughter Sheena P. Simmons and beloved grandson, Noah R. Shannon, both of Winston-Salem, NC; sister, Joyce A. Sinclair; and a host of family and friends including special heartfelt relationships with her sister Judy's children, Allice L. Sinclair of Atlanta, GA and Maxwell J. Sinclair; as well as special friends, Marcie Linker and Vanessa Broadie.
