Janeece Felita Jones, 62 of Charlotte, was granted her angel wings on Thursday, December 23, 2021.  She was born as Janis Johnson in Pensacola, Florida on July 15, 1959.  Growing up Janeece was passionate about music and fashion.  She used to spend hours designing and sewing clothing of all sorts.  She also loved playing the clarinet and enjoyed listening to Barry White and Curtis Mayfield.  Some would say she was the "The Life Of The Party".  She had dreams of traveling the world and enjoyed any beach she could dip her toes in.

After graduating high school Janeece attended Cumberland College where she received her degree in Biblical studies.  Around this time she met her soon to be husband Terence Jones.  They got married in June of 1981 and started to build family life in Silver Springs, Maryland.  Although Terence was in the Navy, she fully supported and pushed him in his musical gifts.  In 1986 Janeece gave birth to Jason, her firstborn child on her birthday.  Shortly after, their family moved to Charlotte, NC where she would birth her 2nd child Jeremy Jones on November 22, 1992.

Her and Terence raised 2 incredibly talented children.  She encouraged Jason to focus on piano and voice, while Jeremy focused on guitar and dance. She was truly a dreamweaver because she was able to foresee greatness and provided space for everyone to develop their gifts in a healthy way. She loved cooking and creating memorable family moments every chance she could.

In the early 2000's she decided to go back into the job force.  She received her Real Estate license where she worked for Allen Tate and other various jobs from car sales to bartending at nightclubs.  She really enjoyed working in nightclubs and carried her "Life of the Party" attitude into every encounter she had.  She worked as a bartender and server in nostalgic spots like The Excelsior Club, Boppers and Club SPOT.

In 2009 Janeece founded her very own tv show "THE JANEECE SHOW" that aired every Monday night on Access 21.  The show would run for 4 years and became well known in the Charlotte area winning the title "Best Local TV show" in 2010 and 2011.  Her show featured various guests ranging from doctors to community leaders to athletes.  The Janeece Show was a major accomplishment allowing her to walk in her purpose and change the lives of so many on such a large platform.

Janeece loved to dissect and journal her dreams as it was a daily practice for her.  One of the visions that came to her was becoming an author.  Embarking on the journey and honoring that dream came her first book titled "EYES".  Most recently, she started a new children's book series based off of conversations she had with her now 4 year old grandson Asayah.  It was a dream of hers that they would produce the books and do his first of many books tours starting next summer.  We promise to keep that dream alive.

Janeece was always a giver.  She truly loved her family and community.  She loved her grandchildren dearly and was the type of "Gigi" that took tons of pictures when she was around you.  She was the type of woman that would gladly take less to make sure you had more.  It was important to her that holidays and birthdays were always special and significant.

Janeece silently fought Breast Cancer, and she gave us all such courage and hope that reminded us of the reality of just how precious life is.

Janeece is survived by her 2 loving children, Jason and Jeremy Jones; sister Gloria Woods; brother Jimmy Cunningham; Daughter-in-laws Diyasha and Sara Jones; Grandchildren Asayah Jones, Aniyah Jones, Dakota Jones and Saniyah Jones.

Janeece will be forever remembered and loved dearly by her family.
