Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.

Janet Marie Casterlow Goodwin, 77 of Charlotte,  passed away on Friday October 11, 2019 at The Social at Cotswold.  She was born on October 28, 1941 in Woodland, North Carolina.  She was the second child of the late Johnnie Clifton and Helen Pearline Sharpe Casterlow.

Janet's Christian experience began at an early age when she joined The Jerusalem Baptist Church in Woodland, North Carolina.  She attended Woodland Graded School and graduated from W.S. Creecy High School.

Janet later migrated to New York City where she married Isaac Goodwin and enjoyed 37 years of married life with him until the Lord took him home in 2000.  She was a faithful employee of the United Postal Service in New York for 33 years.  In 1986 she joined her "beloved" Trinity Baptist Church in the Bronx and served faithfully there as a member of the Metoche Group 4.

She leaves to cherish loving memories: daughter, Sharon King, grandson, Charles King; two sisters, Erma Casterlow of the Bronx, NY and Alfreda Cherry of Woodland, NC; two brothers, Donnie and Frankie Casterlow of Bronx, NY; a host of loving cousins, nieces, extended family members and friends.
