Ms. Janis Yvonne Weathers, 73 of Charlotte, NC, entered eternal rest on September 18, 2022.   She was born August 11, 1949 in Charlotte, North Carolina to Jean E. Weathers.  She was the first of 13 grandchildren.

Janis was educated in Charlotte, NC and graduated from Johnson C. Smith University with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing.  She retired after 35 years as a Registered Nurse from Atrium Health at Huntersville Oaks.

Yvonne attended Ebenezer Baptist Church where she was a devoted member for many years.  Yvonne touched everyone she could by keeping God first and living her life on her own terms.

Yvonne, which is the name she preferred to be called, leaves to mourn her last siblings, Joe Brown of Brooklyn, NY, John Brown of Olympia, WA, and Nicy Brown of Las Vegas, NV.  Yvonne also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, and in addition, a host of great-nieces and great-nephews.
