Mrs. Jeannette Strong, 82 of Charlotte, entered into eternal life on Sunday February 28, 2021 at Novant Health-Main.  She was born June 23, 1938, Huntington, NY, was the daughter of the late Jacob Cooper and Stella Chandler.

Jeannette was a graduate of Huntington High School at which time she stepped in to help raise her siblings.  She later began her career at Superior Surgical where she was employed for 33 years.  In 1996, she moved with her family to Charlotte, NC.  Not long after she began her 20 year tenure with her most recent employer, Food Lion, where she was dedicated and loved by all who knew her.

Spending time with family is what she cherished most.  She was an avid fan of her beloved Dallas Cowboys and NY Mets.  In her downtime, she could be found sitting on the porch soaking up the sun with a nice cold Silver Bullet.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Dennis Strong, Sr.; daughter, Cynthia Johnson; two sons, Jeffrey Johnson and Dennis Strong, Jr. (Tanya); four grandchildren, Alex, Darian, Will, and Trey; sisters, Jackie (her twin), Carol, Margaret, Estelle, Beverly, Henrietta, and Debra; In-Laws, Randy (Linder), Larry (Mary), Michael, Russell (Princess), Sylvia, Vickie, and Patti Tillman, as well as many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her brother, Earl; sister, Mary; and in-laws, Martha and Priscilla Tillman.
