Obituary

Revelation 21:3,4 - With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: "Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.

Jermaine Lerenzo Liddell was the beloved son of Rudolph and Vivian Liddell. He was born December 19,1972 in Brooklyn, NY. He attended Martin Luther King Jr. High School in Manhattan, NY before moving to Wilmington, NC and graduating from Lakeside High School.

Jermaine found his love and niche for cooking and graduated from Culinary school in New York and birthed the man we know as "Chef" and "Chef Maine Daddy". Jermaine always loved kids and enjoyed being a godfather to Baby doll and Nana. Jermaine later moved back to New York where he found love and Married Chantel Manago. On May 2, 2001 his life changed and his heart was overwhelmed with the birth of his pride and joy, his son Jermaine Lerenzo Liddell Jr. Jermaine became a single father with the passing of his wife and took his duties as a father seriously. After learning his son was autistic and would require special care he jumped into action. He dedicated his time and life to homeschooling his son and making sure he had everything he needed while expanding his son's palette with his culinary skills. Jermaine learned and taught his son sign language so they would be able to communicate.

Chef was known as a jokester who always kept you laughing while providing security for his loved ones when needed. He was a loyal friend, brother, son, nephew and soo much more to anyone who knew him. "Maine Daddy" was devoted to his son which inspired his dedication to God and became a baptized Jehovah Witness. He loved Jehovah and shared that love with his son who can quote scriptures in English and sign language.  They attended the sign language congregation and actively participated in kingdom ministry together.
Jermaine is survived by his parents Rudolph and Vivian Liddell, his son Jermaine Lerenzo Liddell Jr., his sister Chantel Liddell, his cousin/niece Demetra Davis, 3 grandmothers Dora Davis, Anne Sanford, Evelyn Simmons, 4 aunts Mary Pendergrass, Brenda (Patrick) Liddell, Valerie Liddell, Almina. My Dad
My dad is wise, humble, and he loved Jehovah and he taught me sign language. My dad taught me about Jehovah, so that I can learn about Jehovah more. My dad likes to cook. He loves to cook food.
I love you dad!
