Jerrica Quintae McGill, 36, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at her residence in Charlotte, NC.

Celebrating The Life & Legacy

There are people whose presence feels like a warm hug, whose laughter becomes like a soundtrack to every gathering, and whose love leaves an imprint that never fades.

Jerrica Quintae McGill, affectionately known as "Jerri", was that kind of soul. Born on November 15, 1989, in Charlotte, North Carolina to Terri and the late Jeffery Q. McGill, Jerrica brought joy, positivity, laughter and so much excitement to everyone that she met.

Jerrica was a proud graduate of Fern Creek High School in Louisville Kentucky(2007) and later went on to obtain her Associates Degree at Central Piedmont Community College and Bachelor's Degree in Health Communications minoring in Gerontology, from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (2019). A hardworking and ambitious young woman, Jerrica pursued a career in Accounting where her dedication and passion left a lasting impact. She was deeply committed to her work, always striving to make a difference and leave a positive mark on the world.

Beyond her professional achievements, Jerrica was a woman of many passions. She found joy in line dancing with her beloved Aunt Harriet, reading The Hunger Games, writing, traveling, listening to music and attending concerts. She embraced every experience with enthusiasm and love.

Her vibrant presence and caring nature lit up every room. Her signature greeting “ Hey Girl Hey” was both a call to joy and a reminder that love lived wherever she went. Jerrica was involved in her community serving as a volunteer for Girls Inc. at UNCC to assist young women in the Charlotte Metropolitan area in efforts to help prepare them for prom.

Despite any of the roles that she played, Motherhood was her most rewarding role. Her daughters Jia D. Perry(5) and Journee D. Perry(3) were her pride and purpose. She taught them resilience and unconditional love by the way that she lived. She was their guide and safe place.

More than anything, Jerrica was devoted to her family and friends. She cherished her relationships and was a source of strength, laughter, and unwavering support to those who needed her. Her love for her Daughters, Parents and Siblings, knew no bounds. She took great pride in being a loyal mother, daughter, sister, and friend.

Jerrica is survived by her Mother: Terri McGill(Terry Dunn), Children: Jia and Journee Perry(Jason Perry),Siblings: Jaylen and Jaden McGill, Terry Dunn Jr, Terrek Dunn, Grandmothers: Katie Summers and Gina Graves, God Parents: William & Naomi Linder( Brian Linder), Godmother: Jeanna Works, Godfather: Steve Rankin, God Daughter: Genesis Talbott, Best Friend/Sister: Brittany Britt and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
