Mrs. Jessie Mae Moore Heath was born on August 10, 1926, in Fort Lawn, SC to the union of the late William Henry Moore and the late Estelle Douglas Moore. She accepted Christ at an early age at Union Ezell A.M.E. Zion Church. She was educated in the Chester County Public School System. As an adult, she and her husband moved to Charlotte, NC and joined Simpson-Gillespie United Methodist Church where she remained a faithful member for many years, raising her children there. In 1983, she joined the Greater Mount Moriah Primitive Baptist Church. She was a member of the Senior Choir, Sunday School Class #1, Twelve Tribes Leader of Simon, Daughters Club, and the Senior Missionary Circle. She retired from the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System in 1987 and later worked for the Mecklenburg County DSS as a Care Provider. On Monday, April 20, 2020 at her home, through the divine call of God, our Heavenly Father, the angels descended from heaven and carried away her soul to a place of joy, peace, and happiness, where there will be no more pain, no more tears, and no more suffering. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill W. Heath, her daughter, Valerie H. McCullough, her sisters Louzetha Wilson, Irene Rogers, and Yvonne Artis. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her children, James M. Moore, Gwendolyn D. Heath, Deborah H. Watkins (Sam), William O. Heath, Eric E. Heath, 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
