Our beloved Joann Wright, of Charlotte, departed this life on Tuesday June 23, 2020 at Novant Health-Main. Joann was born on March 5, 1948 in Oconee County, South Carolina to the late Cole & Elizabeth Wright.

Joann was a retired Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools cook. She was a faithful and dedicated member of Temple Chapel Baptist Church, where she served faithfully on the Usher Board and Pastor's Aid.

Joann leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters, Geraldine Canty (John) and Joan Wright, one granddaughter Markesha Stowe, two great grands that she loved very dearly Zamya Ruthledge and Rashad Everett. One sister Martha Jones (Leo), one brother, Larry Wright (Stevelum) both of Charlotte, NC, long time friends Patricia Williams, Brenda Pride and Joann Stowe, and a host of cousins, family and friends.
