Joanne Spencer, 72 of Charlotte, passed away  on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Novant Health-Presbyterian.  She was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on April 14, 1949.  She had a beautiful soul.  Everyone who knew her loved her.

She was the daughter of the late Johnny and Wilma Tarrant, the sister of the late Michael and Oliver Tarrant.  Joanne was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Moses Spencer.

Mrs. Spencer is survived by her son, Anthony Spencer; daughters, Stephanie Spencer and Diane Jones (Gregory); grandsons, Gregory Jones, Jr. and Immanuel Jones; brothers, Charles Williams (Sharon) of Baltimore, MD, Johnny Tarrant Jr. (Carolyn), Thomas Tarrant, Melvin Tarrant and Bobby Tarrant, all of Charlotte, NC; sisters, Shirley Warren of Philadelphia, PA and Patricia Simonds (Richard) of Charlotte, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
