Mr. John Scott Broadway, affectionately known as "Rambo" 55 of Charlotte, NC departed this earthly life on Monday, September 20, 2021 at Novant Presbyterian Hospital - Main.  He was born on December 10, 1965 in Charlotte, North Carolina.  He is the beloved son of Jenell Thompson and the late John D. Lockhart.

Rambo attended the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System.  He was a construction worker for many years.  He was a kind-hearted and caring person always encouraging young men to stay focused.  He enjoyed making people laugh, fishing and his favorite saying was, "I'm God's Right Hand Man."

Rambo was preceded in death by his father, John D. Lockhart and he leaves to cherish fond memories, his mother Jenell Thompson; Son, Jabori Oliphant; his brothers, James Thompson (Tamara), Jason Thompson; his sisters, Angela Toney (Jasper) and LaKesha Mobley (Scott); his nephews, Patrick Glenn, Jermaine Glenn, Jason Thompson Jr., Jaquavian Abraham Justin Thompson; his nieces, Jamecia Pless, Jameka Massey, LaKia Thompson, Anasia Thompson, Monazhya Abraham, LaKiya Thompson; and a host of relatives and friends.
