Mrs. Josephine Lish Young, "Josie," was born on November 24, 1936 in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Price Grier and Beatrice Crawford.  Josephine departed her life on Sunday, February 26, 2023.

Josephine graduated from Plato Price High School and attended Central Piedmont Community College and Rutledge College.  She was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter 611.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Young, Sr.; sons, William Young, Jr., Kenneth L. Young, George M. Young and daughter, Debbie Ann Young.

She is survived by daughters, Marilyn Stradford of Atlanta, GA, Tammy Young of Charlotte, NC and son, Rev. Stanley Young of Miami, FL; nine grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren; brother, Steven Crawford of East Harlem, NY; and sister, Diane Crawford of Bronx, NY.
