Mother Juanita Irene Hunter, 81, of Charlotte, North Carolina entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at her residence. She was born in Lincoln county, North Carolina on November 7, 1937, the daughter of the late Macie Hunter and Clyde Graham Sr.

In addition to her parents, Mother Hunter was preceded in death by three brothers, Evander Hunter, James Howard Hunter and Clyde Graham; and two sons, Ronald Keith Hunter and Johnny Robert Hunter.

Mother Hunter was a devoted mother and grandmother who dearly loved her family. She organized the first Hunter Family Reunion.

She loved her church family. Mother Hunter was a member of Greater Salem for over 50 years where she served on the Usher Board and Missionary Department. She was a member of the Care Givers Ministry, a Mother in Zion and a Living Legend.

Mother Hunter enjoyed cooking, gardening and taking care of her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She retired from Merita Bakery.

Left to cherish fond memories are five daughters, Irma Hunter, Bonita H. Bryant (Ted), Doreatha H. Gleaton (Jeffery), Calberta Hunter and Tamika Hunter; two sons, Sherman Hunter and Darryl Hunter; two sisters, Corine Hunter of Charlotte, NC and Cora Tillman of Gastonia, NC; one brother, Jesse Graham of Charlotte, NC ; two sister in laws, Terry Hunter and Nancy Graham, both of Charlotte, NC; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, two great -great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
