Obituary

Judy Ann Perry was born January 1, 1953, in Washington, D.C. to Mary Washington and George Bogan. Being the oldest of twelve siblings, it helped nurture her desire to take care of others. The older she grew, that same desire fueled her spiritual calling and propelled her into a life of service. Thus, she became involved in the church at an early age, teaching Sunday school, riding the bus ministry, leading AWANAS, and other endeavors.

Along with her spiritual journey, she found time to fall in love. Mr. Cecil Perry was captivated by her smile, and style and married her in 1975. They went on to raise her eldest daughter and welcome three wonderful children together before going their separate ways in 2021. Supporting her family was of the utmost priority for Judy and she enjoyed an illustrious career with Terminal Corporation for thirty years before retiring down to Charlotte, NC to spend her time with her children and grandchildren.

Judy Ann Perry, a woman of integrity, a woman of substance. A mighty woman of God, who wore many beautiful hats, in her extraordinary lifetime. She passed away peacefully in Levine & Dickson Hospice House at Southminster, 8919 Park Rd Suite 1000, Charlotte, NC on December 30, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pauline Washington and George Bogan, her dear Uncle Joseph "Joe" Ellis, and a nephew DeVaughn (Man-e) Williams.
