Mr. Jule Anthony Huntley, 63, of Charlotte, NC, departed this life on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at his residence.

Jule Anthony Huntley, affectionately known as "Anton" and Uncle Boj," died peacefully at his residence, Sunday, November 10, 2024.  Jule was born December 6, 1960, in Charlotte, North Carolina, to Jule and Mary Huntley.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Blondie Taylor.

He joined Mayfield Memorial Baptist Church at an early age and was a faithful member for many years.

Jule was a 1979 graduate of Garinger High School.  After graduation, his love for food, presentation and cooking led him to pursue a career in food service.  He attended various restaurant training universities, programs and schools as he mastered his craft.  The first half of his working career was spent in the hospitality industry.  Jule worked as a cook, manager and unit director at several restaurants such as Bojangles, Gus' Sir Beef and was a fixture at Bar-B-Q King for years.

After leaving the food servicer domain, Jule connected with ABM/GCA and became a valued member of their Maintenance/Facilities team at Central Piedmont Community College until his death.

Jule was an engaging positive spirit who brought joy to whatever he did.  Known for his lively personality, superb cooking, love of music and his own version of the two step, "Uncle Boj" was always the life of the party.  His alter ego, "Polar Bear," ensured everyone had the best time.

Those who will forever cherish Anton's memories are his daughter, Audrey Huntley McKnight; son-in-law, Montgomery McKnight; granddaughters, Ari'Anna and Malyssa McKnight; three sisters, Valerie Springs (Robert), Stephanie Baker and Althea Edwards, all of Charlotte; lifelong friend, Michael Cureton (Jennifer); forty nieces and nephews; special cousin, Janet Huntley; and a host of cousins, other relatives and longtime friends.
