Obituary

Mr. Julian "Jay" Edward Burrell, 64 of Charlotte, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Novant Health-Main.  He was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, on April 12, 1956, to the late Sybil Burrell and Julian Cox.  He graduated from Grainger High School.  He was an employee of the INX International Ink Company from 1980 until his retirement in 2016.  He was also a Deacon at Hidden Manna Evangelistic Crusade Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Jay had a love for the North Carolina Tar Heels basketball team and bowling for many years.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister the late Evelyn Funky of Burlington, NC.

He is survived by his wife, Evangelist Susan Burrell, of Charlotte, North Carolina, three children; two daughters, Wendy Burrell of Huntersville, NC, Taleka Anderson of Charlotte, NC, one Daughter-in-law Claire Burrell and Son, Michael Burrell, of Huntersville, North Carolina, a brother, Bobby Burrell, of Waxhaw, North Carolina, six grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
