Junior Paul James, affectionately known as "Junior," 56 of Charlotte, transitioned peacefully on May 31, 2022 at Novant Health-Huntersville.  He was born on November 28, 1965 to Paul James, Sr. and Cynthia James in Port of Spain, Trinidad.  He moved to New York at the age of seven.  Paul was a proud Hempstead High alumnus where he excelled as a wrestler and musician.  His career as a master mechanic brought him to Charlotte, North Carolina in 1999.

Paul was preceded in death by both parents.  He leaves behind his children, Dannielle McFadden of North Carolina, Michael James of Pennsylvania, Keenan Cash and Kendall Cash, both of North Carolina, and Megan Paul of New York; as well as five grandchildren.

He is survived by siblings, Emanuel "Ralph" Marcano, Alwyn James and Volta James, all of New York, Simon James of Trinidad and Tobago, Monica James of New York, Brenda James-Roberts of Delaware, and Paula Huizinga of the Netherlands.  In addition, he leaves two aunts in Brooklyn, NY and a host of nieces and nephews.

Paul attained numerous ASE certifications.  He enjoyed entertaining using his culinary skills.  He was a caregiver, comedian, and a great father and grandfather whose charismatic personality was loved by young and old alike.  At the end of the day, Paul always found the fun in life for himself and others and left behind a legacy that will always be remembered.
