Katie May Berry McNeely, 84 of Charlotte, was born to Adrian Berry and Nellie Henderson Berry on June 20, 1937 in Huntersville, NC. She peacefully said farewell to this earthly life on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.

She was a 1956 graduate of Torrence-Lytle High School in Huntersville, NC.  She retired after many years of service from AmeriSteele, n/k/a Gerdau, Charlotte, NC.

She was a lifelong member of Chapel Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she loved traveling and singing with the Note Choir.

Katie loved having a good time and making you laugh.  She never met a stranger and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Katie's memory lives on through her three sons, Alton, Adrian (Kelly) and Patrick and one daughter, Dollie (Rozzell) all of Charlotte, NC; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister, Catherine Brown of Charlotte, NC, Melissa Sherrill and Evelyn Barringer , both of Huntersville, NC; sister-in-love, Winnie Bennett (Nelson) of Morven, NC; and brother-in-love, Vann McNeely; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, neighbors and other too numerous to list.
