Mr. Kenneth Isom, 64 of Charlotte, passed away on Thursday June 18, 2020. He was born to the late Pauline & James Isom in Westchester, New York. Attended the Public School System in Mecklenburg, North Carolina, moved to New Orleans for 35 years.
He was Baptized at the age of 14 under Pastor CE Dewberry. He returned back to Charlotte from New Orleans in 1995, went back to Gethsemane Baptist Church under Pastor Glenn Gerald III with his late mother, took Bible classes, and started that he wanted to become a deacon.
Kenneth worked at the Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte for several years as a cook & assist in transporting Patients, and became head of his department, he also worked as an auto mechanic, and a free lance Carpenter. He worked offshore, danced at The Sheraton; and worked at an upscale clothing store; He really loved dressing up from head to toe always dressing to impress, a true class act.
Mr. Kenneth Was admired for his dedication and willingness to assist others, his hobbies were fishing, dancing, wrestling, he was very creative and good with his hands, he enjoyed building things, working on cars, traveling, music, dancing, painting, remodeling homes, playing spades, cracking jokes and cooking, but he also enjoyed family gatherings the most The 4th of July in Rockhill with Uncle Leroy Isom & family. He took great care, and cooked for his beautiful Mother Pauline Isom.
He leaves cherished memories to his Sister, Katherine Isom-Ellis (Alford Ellis, Jr) of Charlotte, NC and two nephews, Phillip Tyrone Davis, Elton Maurice Davis and one niece, Chiara Anisha Davis all of Charlotte, NC along with a host of great nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
