Kimberly Denise Phillips, 43, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.

On Saturday March 14, 2026 the world lost a gentle guiding light in the form of Kimberly Denise Phillips. Born October 6, 1982 to her parents: Darlene Phillips and Carlton White(deceased) in Charlotte, North Carolina. She leaves behind only two sisters: Latasha Phillips and Shaneka McBride.

Kimberly was raised with Christian values instilled by her grandparents (who she preceded in death), her mom and aunts and uncles. while finding community, family and working hard for her education that she taught to many and breaking many family chains. 

By 17, Kimmy graduated from West Charlotte High school, then she went on to obtain her RN license and associates degree at CPCC, her next goal was to achieve her BSN. She was a meticulous and dedicated Nurse at Atrium’s- Mercy hospital for a total of 22 years. She was recognized by being awarded 4 daisy awards. 

To honor her we carry on her legacies in her 8 nieces and nephews (who were her children), 5 great nieces and nephews, countless cousins who have lost a sister and extended family and friends who cherish all parts of her, even her “Kimisms” brought on by her alter ego “Magda” like “Whah is it, “Git atta here”, “Somebody call the law” or a favorite “You sapsucker”. The bad thing is when you pick at how she said it, unknowing to you, it would slip out when you got mad. 

We will miss her contagious laughter,her spiritual guidance she gave with advice and the way she loved you. The support she willed was emasculate and we cherish it all. For Kimmy we must continue her work by supporting and living life through Christ and also helping the next generation to continue to break every chain.
