Mr. Ladrick Uriah Harris, 97, of Charlotte, NC, departed this life on Monday, July 21, 2025, at Brookdale, Gastonia.

Elder, LADRICK URIAH HARRIS, loving son of the late Wilfred and Catherine (Allen) Harris, was one of few siblings. He peacefully transitioned on Monday, July 21, 2025, at Brookdale New Hope Senior Living, Gastonia, North Carolina.

Mr. Harris's educational journey began in Manchester, Jamaica. He spent his formative years in London, England, before moving to Brooklyn, New York, at the encouragement of his late brother, Reuben Harris. In New York, he pursued theological studies at Tabernacle of Prayer Bible Institution, where he was ordained as an Elder in the Lord's Church.

After a distinguished career with the New York City Transit Authority, Mr. Harris retired and spent over 37 years in Charlotte, North Carolina and traveled the world with his wife.

He is lovingly predeceased by his wife, Ruth V. Harris. Those left to cherish his memories include his sister, Esther Harris; nieces, Beverly Wilson, Sandra Harris, Rita Harris, Eunice Harris, Melanie Harris, Julie Harris; nephews, Reuben Harris Jr, Winston Harris, Michael Harris; his daughter, Ronda Fisher; goddaughter; Christina Wright aka Christine (Caretaker); great- niece, Janise Loreto, Tiasha Jones, and a host of nieces and nephews; numerous grands, family by chosen; church family and friends.
