Lamont Freddie Peebles was born August 11, 1963 in Harlem, New York to Marjorie D. Peebles and the late Ervin Boone Peebles.

Lamont graduated in 1981 from Jamaica High School (Queens, NY). He worked and retired from New York City Rikers Island Correctional Facility as a Corrections Officer.

After is retirement, Lamont moved to various locations: Wilmington, NC, Atlanta, GA, Ucoton, Mexico, and later moved back to Charlotte, North Carolina in 2019.

Lamont was a true lover of dogs ever since he was a child and the love for dogs never changed throughout his life. Lamont was a black belt in martial arts and enjoyed watching the sports of boxing/martial arts.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ervin Boone Peebles and his younger brother, Kevin Ervin Peebles.

He leaves behind his wife, Pam D. Peebles.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Marjorie D. Peebles of Charlotte, NC; his daughter, Aja Peeples; his so Avery Peebles of Charlotte, NC; his brother Raymond L. Peebles (Patrina) of Charlotte, NC; his brother Rahsaan Peebles (Cathy) of Middle Island, NY; one granddaughter; four Aunts; Gwendolyn Moye, Ruth Brown both of Bronx, NY, and Ernestine Latley of Wilmington, NC,. and Billy Hansley of Wilmington, NC, his best friend William "Ren" Creedle, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
