Mr. Larry Monroe, 64 of Charlotte, departed this life on Monday, October 4, 2021 at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center.  He was the son of the late Wilbert Monroe, Sr. and Loraine Alexander Monroe was born May 8, 1957 in Pinehurst, NC.

Larry Monroe attended Garinger High School.  He was a self-employed painter.  He had a special talent as an artist as well as many others.

He was preceded in death by his brother Wilbert Monroe, Jr., stepfather James Cureton, and many other loving relatives.

Those left to grieve this loss are his daughter; Deena L. White and Felicia L. McLendon; six grandchildren; a special friend, Gladys Clifton; childhood friend, Charles Funches and family; one North Carolina cousin, Perlinda Gabriel; and several New Jersey cousins.  He also had many, many neighborhood friends who he cared about.
