Mr. Lawerence "Chucky" Maco Foxx, Sr., 62 of Charlotte, departed this life on October 28, 2021 surrounded by his loved ones.  He was born on August 13, 1959 in Gaston County to the late Beaufort and Madeline Foxx.

Lawerence graduated from Harding High School in Charlotte where he was on the wresting team.  He attended Woodland Presbyterian Church where he was involved in the church choir under the leadership of Mrs. Mattie Reid, he was on the Usher Board and assisted the Hospitality committee with cooking, which was one of the things that he truly loved; he was always willing and available at a moment's notice to lend a helping hand.  Lawerence managed the first Hardee's on Freedom Drive and continued in management for 10 years.  Lawerence later was self-employed before officially retiring two years ago.

Lawerence loved his football team- "The Raiders" and was adamant about his racing.  When his team was playing or his racing was on; everyone knew not to disturb or mess with "Chucky", he would put you out of his room.

In addition to his parents, Lawerence was preceded in death by his sister, Gwendolyn Slade, brother, Beaufort Foxx, Jr., and brother-in-law, Eugene Ashcraft.  He leaves behind to cherish his memories, four children, Jacques Foxx, Lawerence Maco Foxx, Jr (Latravious), Ameia Foxx (Christopher), all of Charlotte, NC and Sheena Anderson of South Carolina.  His life long girlfriend of 37 years, Rita Watkins and helped to raise her three children, Christopher Watkins, Nyesha Watkins, and Le'Asia Black.  Lawerence leaves behind two brothers; Jethro Foxx (Vernetta) and Charles Foxx of North Carolina, four sisters, Jacqueline Foxx (Robert) of South Carolina, Debora Ashcraft, Colette Foxx, and Daphne Foxx of North Carolina.  Lawerence had seven grandchildren; Xavier Foxx, Elijan Waring, Jr. Connor Anderson, Jaylin and Harmoni Anderson, Aria English Kennedy and Brianna Foxx, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
