Lenward G. Adams was born on February 14, 1947 in Charlotte, NC. He graduated from York Road High School in 1965 where he excelled and was given the name "Dictionary" from his peers. He served two years in the armed forces and later worked as a lineman and retired from Bellsouth/AT&T after thirty two years of outstanding service.
In his later years, Gene became a faithful servant of Jehovah and dedicated his life to his service on July 16, 2005. Within a year, Gene became a full time pioneer. He was later appointed a ministerial servant and served faithfully until his passing.
Mr. Lenward Gene Adams was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother-in-law, and friend. His compassion and love could be felt by anyone he encountered. He touched the lives of many people and his spoken advice will always resonate in his family.
Lenward Adams was preceded in death by his parents: Mr. Clarence and Mrs. Lily Adams and a sister, Ms. Marjorie Wallace.
He affectionately leaves behind his wife, Helena C. Adams; five children: Derek Adams (Rechena), Trina Smith, Rodney Adams (Velecia), Chasity Sewell (Nathaniel), and Travis Adams (Cynthia). Eleven grandchildren: Brianna, Travis Jr., Mary, Stephen, Jonathan, Alicia, Stephanie, Tamesha, Mario, Mia, and R'Draven and a host of cousins and friends.
