Mr. Leroy Massey, 71 of Charlotte, departed this life on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Peak Resources Center of Charlotte, NC.  He was born in Charlotte, NC on December 23, 1950, son of the late John and Lizzie Massey.

Mr. Massey was a very caring person who dearly loved his family.  He loved basketball; it was his favorite sport.  He received his education from the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System.  He was an active member of First Mayfield Baptist Church until his health declined.

For many years, Mr. Massey worked at Florida Steele Company.  He was a hard worker and very dependable.

In addition to his parents, John and Lizzy Massey, he was preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters and one nephew.

Mr. Massey is survived by two sisters, Rosa Dunlap (Johnny) and Judy Massey; three nieces, Danette Massey, Charnita Massey and Tara Massey; one nephew, Jarvis Massey; and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews, other relatives and friends.
