Obituary

Mr. Leroy Morrow of Charlotte, North Carolina, was born to the late Ernest Morrow, Sr. and Corinthian Cureton Morrow, in Lancaster County, South Carolina. He departed this earthly life on May 13, 2019 at the Harris Hospice Unit at Novant Hospital.

Leroy was a retiree of the City of Charlotte and Reichhold Chemical. He loved his cars and droved them fast. He enjoyed all sports but especially baseball in which his brothers were apart of the Dixie Community Baseball team. He also enjoyed going to bike rallies on Saturday with his daughter Missy. He loved attending quartet programs with his friends. His favorite group was Lee Williams and the Spiritual QC's. Friday mornings he attended Men Fellowship Breakfast with retired coworkers and friends. He would often tell us "I'm going down the street" but he was hanging out with friends in Clanton Park, Fort Mill and Sterling. Leroy Morrow was loved by everyone and will be truly missed by one and all.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Billy McCorbin, sisters Captorie Morrow and Edna Horton and brothers Ernest Jr., Andrew, Robert, Willie, Cleveland, Benjamin, John and David.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Alice B. Morrow, son Herbert Morrow (Annetta) of Spencer, Nebraska, daughters Shirley Welch (Larry) Sarah Mathis (Charles) and Karen Morrow all of Charlotte. Brothers Joe Morrow and Stanley Morrow (Linda). Grandchildren Christopher, Tiphanie, Richard, Kellie, Tavis, Brandon, Louis, Derek and Jonathan. Thirteen great grandchildren, three sister in- laws and a host of aunts, nieces and nephews.
