Lillian Janet Wright, 90, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026 at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.

Lillian Janet Knox Wright, was born on August 22, 1935, to the late Cleveland Alexander Knox and Olivia Lavon Kerns Knox. She gained her wings on July 26, 2026, at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.

Lillian was raised in Charlotte, and attended the now historic Plato Price High School, where she met the love of her life, Boyd Wright Jr. The two were married on December 13, 1953 and began a partnership that blossomed into more than 72 years of love and devotion.

Together, they built a family grounded in faith, commitment, and unity, raising three sons and three daughters. Over the years, their legacy grew to include many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, each one close to Lillian's heart. She loved them deeply and warmly welcomed every generation that followed.

Lillian dedicated many years of her career to working at Kenny Color Lab. In her personal life, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Committed to her faith and spiritual growth, she and her family were life-long members of Mt. Olive Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of the senior choir, usher board, and senior citizens.

Known for her warm smile, quick wit, and strong faith, Lillian was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She leaves to cherish fond memories: Devoted husband Boyd Wright;Loving children, Cleveland "Vance" Wright, Linda Wright, Vivian Wright and Ty Wright. She was preceded in death by two children, Patricia Wright and Boyd Wright III;Cherished grandchildren, Anthony Wright, Natosha McManus, Nkenge Wright, Lamont Wright, Jacklyn McManus, Javier Wright, Barbara Wright and Raphael Wright; Precious great-grandchildren, Javarie Cuthbertson, Maurice Wright Jr, Aaron Collins, Darenn "DJ" Massey, Malahia Wright, Jaylyn Wright, Brittney McManus, Olivia Wright, Kamya McManus, Dillion Slade, Amelia Davis; Adored great-great grandchildren, Jayden Ervin, Avir Bryd, Alah Bryd, Aaron Collins, Aaliyah Wright, Kaliyah Wright, Eliana Wright and Amara Wright; Beloved sister-in-law, Dorothy Stevens; Treasured nieces, nephews, and a host of additional relatives and friends.

Mrs. Lillian Janet Wright will be remembered for her kindness, her devotion to family, and the warmth she brought to every life she touched. Her legacy will live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
