Lillie Ruth Lindsay Ivey, "Ant Pump," of Charlotte, NC, was born on December 28, 1932, to the late Willie and Madgie Lindsay in Union County, South Carolina.  She departed this life on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Levine & Dickson Hospice House at Aldersgate.  She was 92.

Lillie attended Sims High School in Union County, SC before relocating to Charlotte, NC.  She joined the workforce at American Cleaners, then moved on to Pharr Yarns, Allied Bendix, Winn-Dixie and Artistic Images.

After retiring, she enjoyed church, family, cooking and sightseeing.

Lillie was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Madgie Lindsay; brothers, Reuben, Robert, William and Thornon; sisters, Frontis, Annie, Trannie, Hattie and Bernice; daughter, Joyce Marie; son, Darryl, and granddaughter, Jacqueline.

She leaves to cherish her memory her brother, Thurston; son, Larnell (Cynthia) of Virginia; daughters, Juanita of South Carolina, Judith and Darlene of Charlotte; grandchildren, Veleka (Brian), Tonya (Jamie) of South Carolina, Shamika, Thornon, Shaunte, Ebony and Darryl of Charlotte; eleven great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, and a plethora of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
