Lillie Mae Stewart (Cookie), 51 of Charlotte, accepted her call home on Thursday September 19, 2019.  She was born in Charlotte, NC on June 16, 1968.

COOKIE WILL FOREVER LIVE IN THE HEARTS OF HER FAMILY.

She was a Mother of four children: Latoya Stewart (deceased), Jarquale Stewart, Tamaya Stewart, Antoninal Jackson.  A sister of four siblings: Emmanuel Stewart, Tokra Brown, Shanettka Simmons and Shontae Little; a loving grandmother to one grandchild: Carter Smart.

COOKIE was named after her late grandmother and All though she hated the name Lillie, she could always count on her cousins to remind her of it just to get a reaction out of her.  "My name COOKIE" would be the response every singe time but she knew it was always love.  She graduated West Mecklenburg High School where she immediately knew wanted to be an entrepreneur.

A self-taught known Hair Stylist she braiding just about everybody's hair in Charlotte landing a gig braiding the legendary Allen Iverson hair for a game.  Her favorite thing to do was to make money and in her spare time she enjoyed rapping to songs that she didn't know the lyrics to, watching Jerry Springer, Maury, Ellen DeGneres, Resuce 911 and Cheaters.

She never went without expressing her love for her children and how proud she was to be their mother.  She was a total empath she cared and loved everybody and always took people in her home especially teens who felt alone and mistreated.  She literally never met a stranger.  She will be remembered for her soft wrapped hair with plenty body and shine, her funny and dramatic expressions, her favorite quotes: "It's not what you do it's how you do" or "cleanliness is close to godliness" because as we all know she LOVED to clean.  She was considered an O.G. in every side of town for her realness and how she carried herself.

COOKIE educated those she touched with life, love happiness and big smiles and oh boy that joyful laugh.  She will be missed and loved forever and ever, by many.
