Lily Anne Goi Tran, 39 of Charlotte, peacefully answered to the call of our Heavenly Father and took flight to heaven. She was born on October 31, 1981 in Cleveland, Ohio to Mr. Jackie Goi and Mrs. Loan Goi.
In her 20's, she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and joined New Covenant A.M.E. Church in Charlotte, NC.
During her childhood, her parents and brother lived in New York and Pennsylvania. She eventually moved to Hendersonville, North Carolina and graduated from Henderson High School. Lily pursued her goal of attending college by being accepted to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She doubled her majored in Finance and Management, graduating in 2003. Early on in college, she loved working in the banking industry which led to obtaining an internship with Scottrade and after graduation being hired by Wachovia Bank. She enjoyed working in client services for Wachovia and continued to do so after their merger with Wells Fargo Bank. Throughout her career, she loved taking on new challenges to help others with their finances. This led to working in the home loan department at Wells Fargo.
Throughout her illness, Lily shared her love and ability to help others by participating in annual fundraisers for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, assisting in church activities, being an auntie and godmother to her friends' children, and helping others with cancer by lending a hand or just simply listening.
Lily was preceded in death by her father and mother. She leaves to cherish her loving memories her brother and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins; adopted mothers, Willetta Collins Jones "Momma J.", Bobbie Cureton Baker "Momma Bobbie," Willeta Jones "Aunt Willeta," and Ruby Hargrove "Momma Ruby;" college sisters, Alicia Jones, Naomi Rugut, Sila Vlachou Mobley, Jessica Rippy, Tamara Johnson, Peggy Chan, and Michelle Hargrove; and a host of other relatives and friends.
