Linda Denise Jackson was born in Buffalo, New York on July 23, 1957 to her late parents Aubrey and Hilda Cummings. On January 1, 2024, she departed her life at home, surrounded by her family and friends in Albemarle, NC. She was preceded in death by her beloved siblings James Cummings, Deloris Reid, Leroy Cummings, and Maurice Cummings.

Linda received her education from Genesee Humboldt Junior High, graduated East High School and received her Bachelor's Degree from Medaille University, all located in Buffalo, NY. She was a lifetime member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Buffalo, NY, and after she moved to Charlotte, NC, she joined Ebenezer Baptist Church.

Linda was a woman of many careers. She retired from American Airlines in Charlotte, NC but continued her true calling of being a mom to many by fostering for twenty years. She enjoyed baking, grocery shopping, and most of all, spending her time and money on her family.

Linda is survived by her husband: Jan Jackson; her children Tunisia Jackson, Denreece Cummings, Damone Henderson, Sr., Jan (Itali) Jackson II, Damien (Jennifer) Jackson, Evelyn Jackson, Brandon Jackson, Andrew Dizzell, and Cody Ferrell; her siblings; Richard Cummings, Audrey Clark, Gloria Carter, and Dennis Cummings; her Godson, Raymond Kincannon; her best fried; Rita Sherrod; twenty grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
