Mrs. Linda Vontina Davis McMurray, 74, of Charlotte, NC departed this life on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at her residence.  She was born February 3, 1949.  She was the daughter of the late Christine Barbara Baker.

Linda attended West Charlotte High School.  She worked in the insurance business where she wrote claims for corporate benefits and then retired.

She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church where she served as an usher until her health failed.  Linda was an
Eastern Star member.  She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother and loved to cook and host for family and friends.  She was a beautiful person and you could always count on a Sunday meal.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Eddie Leon McMurray; mother, Christina Barbara Baker; brother, William Michael Barbara; and sister, Earleen Stitt.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who  loved her including her children, Felicia Carr (Kent), Tony Davis (Bonnie); brother, Paul Anthony Baker (Sonya); sister-in-law, Brenda Pearce; ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
