Obituary
Lloyd Clement Reeves was born on May 14, 1932 in Bronx NY to the late Beatrice Agar Reeves and Charles Alfred Reeves. He departed this earthly life, and was called, to be home with the Lord on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at his residence. Lloyd also known as "Pop" graduated high school during a time when it was not common to do so. He worked as a chef for about 10 years in NY, then he landed a job as a pressman with Dixie Tag and Label Co.
His job transferred to Charlotte NC in 1973 and he worked for them till they closed in 1981. Then Pop landed a job with the Charlotte Observer where he worked as a pressman till, he retired at the age of 72. Pop was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. Pop possessed a giving spirit and would share wisdom, love and resources with those which the Lord allowed to be around him. Pop will be remembered as one which had a vast knowledge of history, politics and current affairs, domestic and abroad.
In addition to his parents, Pop was preceded in death by his brother Robert Agar, his sister Dorothy Reeves and his fiancé Doris Withers. Pop
loved the Lord, and he loved to watch the gospel programs on TV. Pop also enjoyed fishing, cooking, collecting coins, working on his car and spending time with close family members.
Pop leaves to cherish his lovely memory: his son Richard Pigford (Trina) daughter Cynthia Wallace, son Michael Hardesty (Samantha), son David Hardesty, special friend Walter Carr, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
